FROM SEVEN BUSINESSES TO ONE TEAM

Client:

Experitec

Location:

United States

Program:

Thriving in Uncertainty & Ongoing Partnership

Challenge

Experitec is a highly technical organization. Its reputation is built on a deep understanding of its customers’ businesses and the technical expertise to help them improve. AND technical expertise alone doesn’t create strong customer relationships.

Experitec recognized that its ability to deliver value depended just as much on how effectively its people could communicate, collaborate and partner with customers, particularly in the high-pressure environments in which they operate.

There was also an internal challenge. With people working across different functions and areas of the business, employees didn’t always understand what colleagues elsewhere in the organization did. As Brad Fischer described it, it could sometimes feel less like one organization and more like “seven different businesses.”

Experitec wanted to strengthen those connections while building the human skills that would help its people work better together and deliver an even stronger experience for customers.

Thriving in Uncertainty

Solution

Experitec initially partnered with ExperienceYes to deliver Thriving in Uncertainty. The relationship quickly grew beyond a single program.

The cultural fit mattered. Experitec’s values of being driven, positive and collaborative aligned closely with the way ExperienceYes works, while Gail and Bruce’s energy, flexibility and growing understanding of the business allowed the partnership to evolve around Experitec’s needs.

Rather than fitting Experitec into a predefined solution, ExperienceYes became a partner the business could bring challenges to.

As Brad explains:

“I feel like I can bring our business challenges or what we're trying to accomplish to you and you figure out a way to help me.”

The work has included:

Thriving in Uncertainty: Giving people practical tools to communicate, collaborate and respond more effectively when pressure is high.

Cross-functional learning: Structuring teams and accountability partnerships to deliberately connect people from different areas of the business who may not otherwise work together.

Continued reinforcement: Creating opportunities such as alumni calls to keep people engaged with the learning and applying it beyond the initial program.

Flexible partnership: Extending the relationship into new areas as Experitec’s needs have evolved, rather than limiting the work to a fixed training offering.

Experitec operates in demanding environments where customers expect a lot.

Brad has also seen a shift in the organization’s ability to remain positive in the face of that pressure. Adversity is approached with a more constructive mindset that focuses on the best way forward.

The Results

The impact was felt quickly: harmony increased across the team, collaboration became more natural, and performance grew stronger in ways that were less about numbers and more about sustainable culture.

As Galyean put it:

“When my team is practicing empathy, compassion, and understanding alongside strong IQ, I see harmony in how we work together - and that harmony drives our success in ways that are deeply innate.”

“For any organization that values its people and wants to build lasting success, I would strongly recommend partnering with ExperienceYes. Their program is nothing short of excellent. It makes a difference.”

The outcome wasn’t just a stronger team - it was insurance against preventable turnover and the costly loss of talent.

NPS Surge

The team’s Net Promoter Score jumped from 4 to 9 in just one quarter, a clear signal of improved client trust and satisfaction.

$10M Client Retained

The client saw the change and the demonstrated commitment to the relationship. They did not issue an RFP and renewed their contract for another 3 years, avoiding a major revenue loss and solidifying the relationship for the long term.

Why it Matters

Technical expertise may be what gets an organization through the door AND relationships determine how effectively that expertise lands.

Experitec's experience shows what can happen when organizations invest deliberately in both.

Building the skills to communicate, collaborate and stay constructive under pressure doesn't just create a better working environment; it strengthens the way people work across functions, improves the experience customers receive and helps turn separate teams into one more connected organization.

For Experitec, ExperienceYes has become more than a training provider. It has become a flexible partner in helping the business make that change happen.
